For me it seems not, it doesn't matter which app I'm using or if I'm using the web interface.

this is a managed hosted instance, so I can't access the logs afaik.

I have to ask the admin.
the question I asked in the closed bug ticket:
my info says, I'm using Database: mysql (10.11.13-MariaDB-ubu2004)

the variable itself says: DATABASE - DB_CONNECTION - "mysql"

should the DB_CONNECTION varialbe be mariaDB or mysql?

@joergi mysql is fine, it should work as expected, but I will double check and deploy a mariadb test instance tomorrow to see if we need to refactor a few things.

@dansup @joergi what about the sharing button to share someone else content from pixelfed to pixelfed . It doesn't seem to work
