Don't ...DON'T Do It!

The Baker says cake is good for 3-5 people.
Nutrition label goes servings: 8, 800(?) cal a slice.
You: fuck it. Birthday binge.
I've been there and learned.
Cut into servings. Take out 4 servings (2 people x 2 days) freeze the rest in slices so you can space it out.
You're telling me one slice contains the energy of 1kg of fat? What kind of monstrous cake was that?!

"I know what I have to do"
"but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it ...maybe another slice of birthday cake will give me the energy I need!??!”

not sure what kind of fatty icing sugar monstrosity you've been eating, but 8.8kcal per slice is beyond absurd and no wonder you've had to adjust your lifestyle.

Damn straight it is. Every cake I've frozen has been fine 3 months later. I usually try and do a slice a week. Gone within 2 months.
Most cakes freeze quite well and can stay fresh-tasting from the freezer for up to a year (hence the wedding cake tradition!), though they’re usually best within three to four months of freezing.
Do you eat it straight from the freezer or does it have to thaw out in the fridge first?

That's the point where you just accept defeat and don't enter your calories for that day, telling yourself you'll somehow make up for it by not eating anything for the next 72 hours
No need to make up for it, just continue the deficit normally
Consistency is what matters, and breaks are totally fine as long as you are moving towards your goal!

I move it over the night before. You can just leave it out for a few hours I think

I just threw a number in. No idea what cal should be.
400 ish i guess.

My original intent was the bakers slice, 1/3 or 1/5 of a cake would be 800 but I fucked it up

Wife and I ate her entire birthday cake in 2 days last month.
I was a silly goose once, expecting people to show up for my birthday...so i ordered 3 cakes.
We ended up eating all 3 in 2 days with just the two of us.
