Its the working class vs the 1%, not gender vs gender.

Holy crap, I never thought about that. That's a whole different take on an assassin's teapot.
I forgot about poison. Everyone should know it's super easy to make poison. Toad venom is so big right now I bet that's easy to get, too.

Well legal or not, in the EU there are Facebook groups like this for every city. So it seems to be a need for women to ensure their safety. Don’t understand what’s so controversial about that… it’s like cancel culture: when there are no legal repercussions to misbehaving stuff like this happens.
You understand why doxxing people is wrong.

I'd suggest just buying a small frame pistol. Printing your own and making it work reliably takes a level of know-how and effort.
Luckily everyone everywhere in the world has the opportunity to buy guns and munition at their nearest supermarket.

I'm gonna make up a bunch of stuff from anecdotes and pre conceived opinions
People like you are exactly the reason why someone thought to make this app, if you ever went out of your parents basement.

Pepper spray, tazer, knife, air horn, whatever the hell is legal where you live. Any of that is better for self defense than a printed gun.

Different boards on the site have different people. Some boards are somewhat maladjusted nerds with poor social skills like /tg/ others are more technical and home to the unhinged users
And some are full of crazy people. Don't forget the crazy people

I don't like this app. I don't like the idea of this app. I think the whole thing was misguided.
But let me tell you of a time when I was younger and more festively slutty, I had a few encounters that might have made me a user. Not all men, no, but after the third time a dude threatens to rape you in a park, you start to wonder if you could be doing more to protect yourself.
Remember, ladies, these days you can print your own handguns and make them look like whatever you want.
I’m going to use “festively slutty” in my introductions from now on

I mean poison is cool AF, but turning the teapot into a gun, with a trigger in the handle.
Wait is that an assassins teapot?
BLAM
Yes, why yes it is.

Yep but I’d rather my loved ones be safe than hold on to moral high ground, if they can share information about dates they had in a private group I don’t see the harm.

Tea is a public space, not private.
You need to do something about that ego.

Sex offender registry.
Surveillance by default never acceptable, not for "protection" of children, not for "protection" of women.
The vast majority of rapists are never even convicted, let alone end up on the registry.

Lemmy at least has a misogyny problem and is openly hostile to women. I don't know how common that is to the Internet itself these days but it doesn't seem like a good sign, even once you accept that Lemmy specifically recruited Redditors.
I've been noticing more of this recently and it doesn't encourage me to spend too much time here. There are so many posts that I don't even open the comment section because I know it's going to be a disaster and make me feel like I'm intruding on the boys' online clubhouse.

I would like to go into business with you.

I think it would be great to have an app that warns women about dangerous men. I don't think it's possible for that to exist though, it will ALWAYS be filled up by bitter people making things up so their ex has a harder time dating.
and in facebook groups you had women ratting each other out to those men. Men pretending to women to get dirt.
